What is SAC?
SAC stands for School Advisory Council. The committee is made up of educators, parents, administrators, students and community/business partners. The purpose of the SAC is to serve as a vehicle for continued growth and success of the school, aligning its mission with the goals and objectives of the School Improvement Plan (SIP). Administrative updates, teacher requests for funding and the daily operations of the school as a community are discussed.
Laura Zerbo currently serves as the SAC Chair. Andrea Sommer serves as the Treasurer and Margie Cowan serves as the Secretary.
Monthly meetings take place ranging from 45 minutes to approximately an hour. The meeting is open to all members of the community, and our diverse demographics serve as a way to address the needs of all at SAC.
Voting members must attend 80% of the SAC meetings. If you are interested in becoming a part of SAC as a parent, educator, community member or business partner, please attend our next SAC meeting.
